Trust, Security & Privacy

This page is maintained by the TechSnyper team to answer common security and privacy questions about the platform. It describes the controls we currently have in place — it is not an independent audit or certification.

Access & authentication

Administrative areas of TechSnyper are gated behind authenticated accounts. Editing products, retailers and site content requires an admin role assigned in our backend.

Visitors can browse pricing and market activity without an account; no sign-up is required to use the public site.

Platform & hosting

TechSnyper runs on managed cloud infrastructure. Application code runs on a managed serverless runtime and the database is a managed Postgres instance with row-level security enabled on user-facing tables.

Traffic to the site is served over HTTPS. We rely on the underlying platform's standard transport encryption — this is a platform capability, not a TechSnyper certification claim.

Data we collect

The public site primarily reads product, retailer and pricing data that we collect ourselves. We do not require visitors to provide personal information to browse.

If you contact us or subscribe to updates, we store the details you submit (such as an email address) so we can respond or send the requested updates.

How data is protected

User-facing tables use row-level security policies so that data is only accessible under the conditions we define. Administrative actions require an authenticated admin role checked on the server.

Secrets and API keys used for integrations are stored server-side and are never shipped to the browser.

Cookies & analytics

We use a minimal set of cookies required for the site to function (for example, to remember your theme preference and to keep admin sessions signed in).

For more detail see our Privacy & Cookies page.

Reporting a security issue

If you believe you have found a security issue affecting TechSnyper, please get in touch via our contact page. Please give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and respond before sharing details publicly.

Shared responsibility. TechSnyper is responsible for how we build and operate the application — including access control, data handling and the content of this page. The underlying platform provider is responsible for the hosting, database and authentication services it provides. Visitors are responsible for keeping their own account credentials secure.

This page reflects the controls in place at the time of writing and may change as the product evolves. It is not a legal document and is not an independent certification.
