About TechSnyper

Why we built it Tech pricing in the UK moves constantly. Launch prices, retailer promotions, stock shortages, currency swings and end-of-line discounts all push prices around — often within the same week. Without a long view of the market it's very hard to tell whether the price in front of you is genuinely good, simply normal, or quietly inflated. We built TechSnyper to answer one question: is today a good day to buy this? What we do - Track prices across major UK retailers once a day. - Record the history of every product we follow, so you can see how a price has moved over weeks and months — not just what it is right now. - Highlight meaningful changes: new lows, price drops, fresh listings and shifts in retailer behaviour. - Group products into families and variants (for example, an RTX card across different AIB partners and editions) so you can compare like with like. - Surface the broader market picture for each category, so a single retailer's price can be read in context. What we don't do - We don't sell products. TechSnyper is not a retailer and is not a party to any transaction between you and a shop. - We don't accept payment from retailers to promote them, hide price increases, or favour their listings. - We don't pretend our data is perfect. Pricing data is messy by nature — retailers update at different rates, occasionally publish errors, and stock can change between when we look and when you do. We always recommend verifying on the retailer's own site before you buy. How we make money Some outbound links to retailers may be affiliate links, meaning we can earn a small commission if you choose to buy after clicking through. It doesn't change the price you pay and it doesn't influence which products or retailers we track. If a retailer pays better commission than another, that has no bearing on the prices we show or how we present them. Who it's for TechSnyper is built for people who want to make a more informed buying decision — whether that's a gamer waiting for the right moment on a GPU, a builder pricing up a full system, or anyone who simply doesn't want to overpay on a tech purchase. The project TechSnyper is a UK-based independent project. We focus on doing one thing well: tracking the UK technology market honestly and presenting what we find clearly.
